My Story

I acknowledged our Lord and Savior 8 years ago at the age of 47. I was very pig-headed about this at first, and it is interesting to see how the Lord does work through people in your life. My sister came to live with me after both my sons left home, so I was by myself. Rita was (she passed away 1 1/2 years ago) a Christian but really never showed me the gospel, but she did take me to church with her and it was there that I heard about salvation through Christ.

I accepted Christ as my personal Savior on the way to work the next morning and have been totally sold out for Him since. It wasn't an experience or an overnight change, it was only through attending a great Bible-believing, Fundamental Independent Baptist Church that I grew in grace. I don't believe I will ever lose my salvation although I will always disappoint the Savior, but know he is just to forgive me when I mess up.

We live in a depressing, angry, hateful world where morals and ethics are replaced by greed, lust and "anything goes" society. I'm so happy I can know this is not my home. I live the best I can while I'm here ... being a beacon to others who need Jesus in their lives too. I feel God has put me in Nortel for a reason and whenever possible, I am going to share his word (which is the only truth) with people I come in contact with every day of my life.

I have had cancer 3 times and know in my heart God has a work for me to keep me around. I pray that Christians will ignite the world for Jesus - he did so much for us.
